Mr. Orduña is the CEO and founder of The Cannabis Place, a dispensary start-up that holds both Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and Minority Business Enterprise certifications in New York and New Jersey. Osbert is first generation of Colombian descent and is a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, served in Iraq and strongly supports the opportunity for Veterans to have access to medical cannabis for the treatment of service connected conditions. Osbert grew up in NYC public housing during the abuses of Stop & Frisk and is a proponent of providing impacted communities with the training and assistance to develop their entrepreneurship abilities in the adult use cannabis market, “each one teach one”! Osbert serves as the co-chair of the National Hispanic Cannabis Council’s Tristate NY/CT/NJ Chapter, he is also a National Cannabis Industry Association Diversity Equity and Inclusion Scholar.
