Dr. Lucas McCann is the Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at CannDelta. He provides scientific business strategy over sight on all projects. As a co-founder of CannDelta (circa 2018) he has helped launch over 300 licensed businesses in the cannabis sector in the U.S. Canada, and over seas. Amongst some of these, CannDelta has worked with First Nations/indigenous communities and international governments to help establish and implement sovereign cannabis regulations. A medicinal and synthetic organic chemist by training, former federal government employee, and a small-business consultant Lucas has extensive experience helping clients launch start-ups in the emerging cannabis market by helping them with business strategy, planning and navigating regulatory frameworks with license applications.

An expert in regulations, Lucas has experience in all aspects of these industries, including cannabis – specific expertise in the commercialization of cannabis products and brands, licensing, and supporting cultivation, manufacturing, analytical testing, and cannabis retail dispensaries. He is a dynamic public speaker and regularly engages with local and international media on topics relevant to the cannabis industry. Lucas has published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and a university textbook. CannDelta has three offices in New Jersey, New York, and Toronto, to better serve their clients.
